Yeah well don't worry, I'm not planning on any small or large talk at this time, either.

On the O'Hare thing, I'm thinking the whole thing is "misinformation". As I noted elsewhere, I found a petition to the FCC to stop what is perceived to be an assalt on Christian broadcasting and other such related items. The petition number given was 2493 and 2495. Since I haven't received anything from anyone on SI who gives a shit to look into it, I called a minister friend (actually, my longest known friend - grew up together). He told me that the petition numbers are longer and are a two digit number, then a dash, and then another number. He also said that in the frequently asked questions area, there are still rumors floating around after all these years that the O'Hare foundation was trying to do this. According to what my friend saw on the site, the subject was quashed a long time ago.

Now what really concerns me in all this (aside from the obvious lack of any of the quote-unquote "Christians on SI to look into it at my request) is the fact that the actual petition(s) in question don't accompany what looks like an email getting all riled up over it and a form to be sent by those opposed to the "petitions" to the FCC.

It seems nobody actually took the time to check for FACTS!! And yet there is some (no doubt) well intentioned person spreading this all over town (I assume), and I'm wondering just how foolish these people are going to look to the FCC if in fact there is nothing to it.

My friend said he would look on the FCC's web site to try and locate a phone number. I'll just call and see whats what. If there is something to it, you can damn well bet I'll start a thread regardless of how "luke-warm" (I admit it) I am.

Whenever next time Is,

Mike
