I just received an unsolicited prospectus from the Kaufmann Fund and it indicates that, as of 12-31-96, they owned 156,000 shares of Quidel. This was news to me. I also understand that when Qdel dipped to the high 2's on Monday, Merrill Lynch stepped in and bought about 105,000 shares. I consider both items to be good news. Let's hope for a better day tomorrow.
