So what's a shell worth? Recent reading says it costs 300 - 600 k plus to go public via an IPO (small to medium sized company) and a shell is a lower cost alternative. So how come you see the market cap of a (soon to be acquired) shell go ballistic (CDNO has quadrupled in the past week) when there must be lots of companies out there willing to sell their soul and become a shell for a million. Just doesn't make sense. There must be a going price on a shell stripped of any other assets. I'll be interested in your responses if anyone is willing to take on this question.

Some reading, if you are interested.
