In Seattle tonight the police went wild and began firing rubber bullets, tear gas, and concussion grenades at non-protesters outside of the curfew area on Capitol Hill. The tear gassed people coming out of grocery stores with their bags of groceries in hand. The curfew is in effect after yesterday's events surruounding the WTO meetings. There are choppers in the sky and APCs on the street. The police are reportedly being pushed to the breaking point by lack of sleep. There is a russian immigrant leading a group of about 50 people at the police as I type... Breaking news as it happens... FWIW Andy
