The purpose of Excite! is to create the tools to build and facilitate the framework that supports other company's sites Not is. It's should be. A good concept if there is anything practially that needs to be done to make a "framework". Excite should think of themselves as a content meeting place, not as primarily content creators. I've long said that @home should be a hosting site for broadband content within the @home network. You are taking it one step futher. Excite should have a "content mall" similar to its merchandising mall where anyone can pay to get their content available to the world on a broadband infrastructure. No one is more ideally placed to do this than Excite@home. However from what I have seen so far they seem stuck in the conventional mindset of being another Yahoo! or AOL. Eric
