I doubt stories on cellphones & health will have a major influence, unless direct damaging effects in humans can be demonstrated. I say that because there have been, for instance, a lot of stories for many years now about powerlines and cancer, and nothing has changed. There were also many stories at one point about CRTs and miscarriages & other health issues. But we tend to ignore data that is not definitive, in favor of convenience & $. I think, however, that the stories make good news and they will continue to crop up as cellphones become more popular.
