>>The real question for those of us with limited income is to determine which of a dozen or more attractive G & K plays should be the ones in which to invest. So for me, do I want Siebel, JDSU, NTAP, reinforce GMST?, or even more Q given its reasonable forward P/S and P/E? As I type this, I am thinking JDSU, as a play on the telecosm, and as some sort of hybrid between a king and a gorilla.<<

Well put. That is indeed the real question. And as we know from this thread there are many different ideas concerning risk and diversification. As a believer in the gorilla game (as you saw from my portfolio) I have QCOM as my largest position (a young gorilla) followed by JDSU as 2nd largest (a young king or perhaps also a gorilla). I also have smaller posiions in companies that are earlier in the game. Playing earlier ofcourse entails more risk, but as the many George Gilder fans here can attest, it can also be very profitable.

I've selected GMST and SNDK as two plays that I think have bright futures. SNDK is a relatively small company. That makes it risky. They seem to have a very astute CEO and they also seem to have a key position in several exploding markets. They have intellectual property patents that they defended successfully against much, much stronger companies, such as INTC and Samsung. It would seem that based on their track record, management and selected markets that unless they completely screw up they should have a very bright future. I would not bet the house on them, but for a modest portion of a GG portfolio they seem compelling.
