I do not advocate police going into a situation they feel they cannot control.

If this were really the case, police would never respond to domestic disputes. More cops are injured responding to domestic calls that to any other kind of call. But they go in anyhow, because it's their job.

If they are to be reviewed on their
conduct it should be by their superiors and their IA department and the city
government to whom they report-

Here again is our basic, fundamental disagreement about our form of government. The police are PUBLIC SERVANTS. We are the state. We empower them to serve us. Ultimately they are answerable to US. Period.
