As I see it you have competing Constitutional issues here. Also you are lumping all of the protestors together. There were representatives from farmers groups, labor groups, child welfare advocates, witches and many others. You would deny them all a voice because of the actions of a few, over which they probably had no control? There is no Constitutional issue here,the police should arrest those who are being destructive of other's property wherever possible, and leave the rest alone. << You can talk all you want about government agitators- but there is not a shred of evidence for that at this point. I am very interested in finding out who they were. You already made up your mind. If we use your method and shut down every protest when the windows start breaking, you can be sure that in the future the police will see to it that windows are broken at every protest, like they did at Madison. It's much cheaper to replace windows than to pay 3,000 police overtime. Del
