Sure. I also think it's entirely possible they thought of it by asking "How can we make things as easy as possible for customers to place an order with us?" That's the business they are in, right?

I haven't heard of another party challenging Amazon's patent on the grounds that the other party thought of it or used it first (not that this couldn't happen). If it's truly original Amazon.com thinking and implementation, then it's an innovation.
