Hi Steve - it may be hypothetical, but I think Mr K was attempting to float a trial balloon. Personally, I ve never felt comfortable with tracking stocks unless the capital raised is used expressedly for the subsidiary capital expansion [like PCS]

I think people simply make an automatic response with a negative bias whenever TYC tries something new since the Tice debacle. Had the idea been suggested prior to that incident, people probably would have responded like that of MSFT etc. That shows it is an arbitrarily assignment.
