Alan ... I have 768K DSL service from GTE here in Redmond ... surprised to hear you aren't getting brochures in the mail from 5 wannabe suppliers over the hill there. try getspeed.com ... the site aggregates offerings by multiple providers, searchable by Zip/address ... I get 29 DSL offerings and 1 satellite ... no cable. There are other aggregating indexes ... Yahoo reveals them. You also might want to try nwnexus.com ... they are the oldest/bestest provider up here and located in Woodinville, I think. If you crawl through their DSL service pages, you'll find links to the GTE and USWest loop qualification request pages ... where you can request a test of your line quality. Other options up here seem to be Flashcomm, Covad, Verio. Have you called you ISP ... they're the guys who ought to know.
