Dee Jay, sorry this is a very delayed response, but I haven't had time to even visit here since Mar. 31st. So I just got your post. You were wondering why I thought ASND could go down from where it was on Mar. 31. 17 days later and ASND is at about the same price, with a ride up to 49 and back down in between. My reasonings are these: 1) The networking field has very clearly become way too crowded with sellers. According to one study I have read, there is not enough $$$ in sales in the next year or two to support the number of companies in the networking business. This always brings reduced prices, ala INTC vs COMS in the NIC business. This price-slash/merger trend in the networking industry will IMO continue for at least another year.
2) The current investor sentiment is very skeptical of high-growth companies being capable of maintaining that growth over the next year, so investors are going to be jittery when pe's get too high. Ascend has historically been a high p/e stock, therefore it is among the "guilty parties".

That is my reasoning Dee Jay, and I don't see it changing anytime soon.

Good Luck,

Dwight
