Re: "Now go back and tell us about how AMD is still losing money in its MPU business, it's true!!!. Yes, AMD is losing money in its MPU business, when demand is in an all time high, pricing is firm, Intel is struggling and we are in seasonally strong quarter."

I've been telling you guys... AMD has never made a thin dime (overall) on any processor they have ever designed. Even with all the advantages you list plus high ASPs, it still looks like they need the extraordinary profits from flash and comm just to break even. Doesn't something smell bad here? Why aren't they making tons of money? What's going to happen when the inevitable Q2 slowdown hits, CuMines are in high volume and ASPs drop?

Either ASPs are lower than expected or expenses are higher than expected. ASPs aren't going to go up and expenses aren't going to go down. What about all those interest payments they have to start making once Dresden comes online? Are they trashing thousands of wafers? Are Athlon final test yields poor due to cartridge problems that have nothing to do with the die? Whatever it is, it's the same old story. It costs AMD more money to make em then they can sell em for.
