johnd, thread, at the Republican candidates debate in Manchester, NH, Bush, McCain, Steve Forbes, Gary Bauer, Orrin Hatch, one other present, Forbes' question from the moderator was 'what about the Microsoft vs. gov. case, should they be broken up as were AT&T, Standard Oil.' He did well with his answer, saying it's now moot, i.e., since the whole thing was started, Sun has blossomed (or some such words), the Internet has exploded, AOL has mushroomed (soomething like that). Sounded good until he said they also have competition from Lunix. Oh no! He definitely said, phonetically speaking, LOONIX. Oh well. I told my wife he probably doesn't hurt himself because most listeners won't know Linux from Linus in Charley Brown. He did have the "right" answer though, hopefully the spirit comes through.
