I don't know if he will get the "hero" moniker but he does have a decent shot at going into business cases and stories on "focus" and how he rallied the company around a single battle cry.

IMHO, that was probably the biggest thing that Jerry brings to AMD - undying dedication and focus in the midst of apparently unsurmountable challenges. It is not often that a second-tier company like AMD maneuvres around a 800-lb gorilla like Intel.
