I am BLOWN AWAY by the DEEP implications of EarthLink Deal. Does everyone know what it may mean? The offer is not just to NEW MEMBERS of Earthlink but also to EXISTING MEMBERS of EarthLink - a virtual army of over 1,500,000 paying members and all the POTENTIAL NEW CUSTOMERS (last year that number was 67,000 new users a day - I dont have the current number, but it is not small) OF INTERNET SERVICE IN THE MARKET.
ALL These MILLIONS have been offered FREE Earthlink connections for a year for opening an account with USABancSHARES. I did not expect this at all........
Lets do some math on Earthlink members that would simply opt for 1 year free Internet Service and open an account with USAB: (I.S. = Internet service)
1% signups assuming other 99% dont want FREE I.S. 15,000 2% signups assuming other 98% dont want FREE I.S 30,000 5% signups assuming other 95% dont want FREE I.S 75,000 10% signups assuming other 90% dont want FREE I.S 150,000 20% signups assuming other 80% dont want FREE I.S. 300,000 30% signups assuming other 70% dont want FREE I.S. 450,000 40% signups assuming other 60% dont want FREE I.S. 900,000
Do we even need to touch another maybe 10,000 U.S consumers a day that shop for internet service:
For Each Day let us just get 1% of these = 10,000 * 1% = 100 per day or 36,500 per year.
No matter how you look at it, we are looking at a Mega Bank of the Future.
Now am I entirely wrong, a little wrong or totally right? Harry p.s. Probably entirely wrong because I did not even consider people wanting to switch Internet Service Providers. |
