Good Morning Everyone,
OK, what do you say to a computer full of invisible people at 3:30 in the morning??
"I can't sleep"
Just when you think things are finally getting as low as they can get, life flushes the toilet one more time. So OK, what do you do, What DO you do? You can't sleep for one thing, but you also have to start making decisions. Are you going to go down the drain? Are you going to just sit and swirl for awhile? Or are you going to claw your way up the porcelain and back on your own two feet?
Well Monty!!! I'll take door number three, if you please!!
Sometimes you can do everything right. You can teach honor, you can teach respect, you can teach honesty, love, warmth, all of those good words but they are just that, WORDS!! If they don't take root in your heart, if they don't grow as you do, if they don't change your heart, they are worthless letters put together. So who's fault is it when they don't work? The person doing the teaching, or the student who failed to allow them into their hearts, the stubent who choose to flush them down the toilet?
It's cliche time!! You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink. The most fertile soil is sometimes barren because nothing is allowed to root. The tree that will not bend in the wind, breaks. A stitch in time (wait a minute, that is for a differenet note). What does all this mean? It means wb has had too many dirnks.
I know there has to be other parents out therer who are awake in the mifdle of the night wondering where they went wrong. Well i've come to the conclusion that we didn't do anything wrong, our children have to make their won choices just as we did, they have to deicde what path they are going to walk no matter what we tell them about the end of the raod they are on, sometimesd they just have to see the elephant for themselves. Even Hitler had a mother and a father, I wonder if they were ever up at 3:30 in th3e morning?
Anyway, the sun will be up before long, and it will be a new day with a new start. New choices for new situations and we cannot allow the past to dictate the future, otherwisde we just run in circles and go nowhere.
