The U.S. economy created 234,000 jobs in November, a bit above Wall Street forecasts, while average hourly earnings rose just 0.1 percent -- below forecasts for a 0.3 percent rise, government data showed Friday. Unemployment held steady at 4.1 percent. S&P futures and bonds rose on the news, pointing to a higher open on Wall Street.
