Gary, the best form of misinformation is that which has many facts, so to put a good spin on something you do well by adding some real facts.
Your opinions are your prerogative and like any other member you have the right to divulge and delineate as you please, but don't get insulted when you are confronted by an opposing opinion.
3Com without the Palm has over $5 Billion in revenue, over $3 Billion dollars in liquid assets, over 100 patents related to the emerging markets, distribution channels second to none and will remain in one of fastest growing sectors, networking and e-networks. Now continue to fool the rest of the public that this company is nothing without the Palm, but you do not fool many of us because we know otherwise.
Now Mr. Mark and russn, if you wish to respect Gary's remarks, that is your prerogative, but don't ever tell anyone else what they should do, we are all entitled to our own opinions. If I had listened to Gary, I would have never touched this stock. I would have also thought that EB was an uneducated clown. Well, most of us know that he is very articulate and versed in matters concerning the emerging markets.
