Y2K causing capital flight from the developing world to the US makes sense, but not from the EU to the USA, not on a grand scale to bring the EU below parity anyway. Every single analysis that I have read on this mentioned that investors are not satisfied with the rate of progress in the EU's recovery from recession. I am surprised that you have missed that, as such analyses was even posted on this thread multiple times.

But let's try to analyze the Y2K effect. That should reverse in earnest after mid-Jan at the latest, so shall we postpone this discussion on EU-Dollar exchange rates for about 6 weeks?
