Kenneth,

IMO I believe existing large carriers will seek an evolutionary transition - I agree. New green field carriers will go the revolutionary route. If these so called "new world" networks provide more unique services at a lower cost these new greenfield carriers will begin to take customers away from the incumbents. This might force the incumbents to seek out a more revolutionary bias to the evolution of their networks...just to maintain market share. Remember T didn't go for frame relay until Wiltel was taking their customers away. If the IXC's, CLEC's, ILEC's, and established large ISP's begin a more revolutionary pace of deployment which vendor will benefit the most? Given that CSCO has more to gain and less to lose I would assume CSCO would be best positioned - even if they only got 10%. What do you think?
