I vaguely suspect that I posted on Jafco a while back. In the eighties their so called venture investments were in companies that were 15-25 years old. I can't recall one that was a tech stock. I remember restaurant chains, loan sharks, discount clothing stores, etc. Now they are trendy I see. But I extremely doubt that they have much technological knowhow. Nomura is closely allied to gangsters. As for keiretsu, they never had any lateral relations between their companies before. Caveat emptor!
If you really want a bundle of US internet stocks, many funds now exist, or you could take Harmon's advice. But Japan Associated Finance Co. is not another Softbank. I took a free meal from Nomura once but I wouldn't even do that now.
The next softbank is softbank.
