Softbank's reluctance a bullish sign? Personally I am glad that Masayoshi Son doesn't want to lighten up his share of ETrade. ETrade might really be better off without the deal at this point, as the WSJ points out. I think they are letting the clock tick down so that ETrade can walk away from the deal. Plenty of time to set up a bank in the new year, and for less trouble and money...
