Combined with the NetBeans community initiative, it looks like Sun is really really really anxious to get Linuxers writing Java code. I think it kinda answers my question about 'development platform/server platform'. Someone says it's for the benefit of the Linux Java server platform. I'm more inclined to believe that it's all about the Linux Java development platform writing to the Sun SDK?? -JCJ
