Dear X, I understand you very well. You are quite correct. As soon as one begins to worry about the innocents (or even worse tries to care for one) he sees that there are very few who are truly innocent. He sees that most are desolate, resigned, unwilling to fight for themselves. Iqbal somehow showed in his brief life that innocence is not enough. Better to die on your feet than live on your knees. Even the innocent must struggle to change the world. I remember marching in demonstrations and the poor and victimized saying "What are you doing in our town? Leave us alone. You'll just make trouble for us." But when the poor, the innocent, the oppressed organize themselves and fight, I'll be there with them and so will you.
