Wally: Good article. You remember when Galvin of DLJ said we would have a Y2K melt-up starting next year? Wrong. We are having it now. Market has anticipated that Y2K is mostly nothing and has decided to celebrate. S & P 500 now at 26.42x 2000 operating earnings. Previous top at 28x. I hope to hear Brinker distinguish this market from that of July, 1999 because I think we are fast approaching where we were then. Geez, that 1976-1977 scenario is looking more and more plausible daily. Okay posters and lurkers, time to register your thoughts on how this may or may not be different from July, 1999.
