According to KH, Biostar has shipped 10k EasyNow PCs. Biostar received another 50K order for Dec, but can only pump out about 30k due to a shortage of those fancy casings. 10k out of that order came from Siemens. Biostar expects to have produced one hundred thousand EasyNow PCs by January. Related links are here, here, and here .

99/12/02, 9:59pm - Interesting. I'm told by a reseller up north that spoke to some AMD reps personally. Interesting info? AMD has a "KX133 comparable chipset done" and in production currently for the Slot-A platform. I'm presuming this means a 200MT/s chipset with support for PC133 SDRAM. I wish they'd support VC133 (133MHz Virtual Channel SDRAM), but I'm not holding my breath. Oh, it's bound to have AGP4x and such, for anyone who cares.
You can read some older AMD chipset info from HotChips in August to get an idea what vague direction they were going those many months ago.
Oh, BTW, the rep allegedly confirmed (isn't that an absolutely delicious oxymoron?) that Gateway's coming, and added that Dell is expected to be in the bag for Athlon in the new year.
