Reginald,
I haven't any doubts that the web applications actually fly today, unencumbered. My concerns, however, would be based on the unfolding fill rates of new users coming on line, in the presence of still-to-be-deployed applications, such as streaming video and full so-ho capabilities, under the prevailing HFC architectures.
It's the coexistence of all of these, in aggregate, that I'm forced to consider, not just the ability of any one application to perform in an environment which is still virtually untested for all but the most basic surfing requirements.
I would look forward to the MSOs coming to recognize these realities, and perhaps by their taking into account web apps, among the other influences I've discussed in the upstream, they will become more proactive and begin to make adequate preparations to support a wider range of applications, over time. If they don't, someone else will.
