Just got a copy of TR 4. My first impression is that this game is....GREAAAAAAAT! I played for 2 hours so far and I'm currently stuck in level 2 (argh, all those nasty blade traps!)...that's the reason, why I've the time to write down my review.
The graphics are far better than those in TR 3 (and way better than those in the new Indy Jones game). Another cool item is the fact, that there's some sort of interactive camera in the game, which sometimes changes the view away from Lara and gives you the view of an attacking enemy (anyone who knows such horror movies like "Evil Dead" knows what I mean). The game is far more darker than TR 3 for example. This time you are really having the feeling, that you are exploring an ancient temple. Given my first impressions, I'd give TR4 a 98 % rating...or in "financial terms": this time Lara gets a triple A ;-)
I've my doubts that sales of TR 4 will be bigger than previous years. Many gamers could say: Oh how boring , that's just more of the same stuff.
However as a gamer and Lara fan (not as an investor, I still think EIDSY is way overvalued) I like this game a lot!
Bye, have a great weekend (I'll have to do some comparisons between Indy and Lara the coming days)
