I almost never consider social issues in purchasing things. I am mostly content to see foreign investment, since many countries are capital- poor, and have cheap labor as their primary attraction, for the time being. I do not care much about environmental concerns in countries that are so poor that life expectancy is low anyway, and economic development is the key to improvement. I am not much interested in the artificial preservation of American jobs, since the key to general prosperity is specialization, and everyone is a consumer at some point. I do not have the time or patience to sit in judgement of every company against which someone has lodged allegations. Therefore, I do not give it much thought........
