man, I just don't like this World Trade/Bank stuff where they loan money with social engineering "strings" attached to it. It's like, you go down to your bank to get a house loan, and they say, "fine - only we have some ideas about how you should raise your kids."
my deux centimes - exact opposite of the American President and these protestors in Seattle: banks have no biz doing social engineering.

...problem is, back then - we didn't want the government tellin' us what to do. It was, "Let everybody do their own thing". These kids are political correctness zealots who want the WTO = government to tell everybody what to do; ie., "Make everybody do the right thing."
yeah, I admit I'm on the other side of the fence on this one; Democratic Socialism scares the hell out of me. otoh, as my neighbour (a Frenchman) says to me: " Come ze revolution, Steve - yours vill be ze first head zat rolls ! "
