I disagree.

Very often (I've done this myself) officers and key employees of new start-ups take stock in lieu of salary.

Quite often they totally forego a salary in exchange for a non-trivial number of shares.

I think what you're seeing is normal at this stage - key employees and stakeholders who don't feel they need to live on peanuts anymore.

You also might consider that some of these stakeholders may be trying to diversify their assets into other investments to obtain a more reasonable risk load.

Like Pat said - until you see someone sell a significant percentage of their holdings - like 20% - I certainly wouldn't worry.
