Sure looks like a buyout scenario. To me SUNW now looks like the right candidate.

First it is a logical business move for them to buy Novell's directory plumbing so as to be able to take new versions of their server with directory technology MSFT cannot reproduce to the ISP's---much better logon/authentication and user profile tracking.
Second they need this directory glue to put together the Lucent voice over the net deals that are the next wave in server sales for them.
Third, MCNealy is a cheap bastard. Now that he would be paying for NOVL in overpriced SUNW shares, maybe he will consider what he wouldn't with APPL when it was 22.

In any case my minimum is $40 a share.
