Excellent ideas, Richard. Also there are worthwhile "tidbits" worth sharing like one that I heard where when there is a performance problem with QCharts, it may be worth trying to put up just one chart. For the rumor has it that the data feed at QCharts will give priority to these users. Has anyone found this to be true?

I do have one complaint that may not have been mentioned. This has more to do with the basic design of QCharts in how bar information is displayed. I find that the program apparently attempts to fit as much as it can on the screen of bars by changing what I see amounts to the aspect ratio of the chart. This is where there is some visual "compression" that is a dynamic variable, not a constant, which is adjusted to the needs of the application to perform this feature. But what happens under certain situations is it noticeably distorts the geometry and visual quality of the patterns that the bars make up, particularly in the larger time frames. This I find at times gets in the way of me adequately judging the quality of setups based on price patterns, like a flag or 1-2-3 style top or bottom. I find I have to look at the setup in multiple smaller time frames when this happens to get a better idea. But some of the material does not display completely enough in the lower time frames for this solution to work well. So I am finding that I need to locate another application for a solution to this problem. Perhaps one that can utilize the same QCharts data feed, and better yet, also operate with another backup data feed during the times I find it down. Perhaps this feature can be turned off?

I want to note that I am thinking this is an actual problem that is contributing to what I think I am seeing on the charts. I have not made up my mind yet. So this is why I am soliciting for thoughts on this.

Thank you!

Bob Graham
