A while back, someone (Walter?) asked about lossless compression. Apparently, the folks at Lydstrom are looking into it for future Songbank applications. I finally dug up some info on it, and it appears to be no threat to EPAC or other perceptual codecs. Seems that it only achieves modest compression rates of 38-52% - see meridian.co.uk for technical info - and is primarily intended for use in DVD audio files.
