You may get a filled order before February is out, but only if you are lucky. I took a look at the Merrill update (dated November 30th, 1999) and it basically summarizes as ...

1. SFTBF rose 77% in November
2. Business needs to catch up to price objective (Y70k)
3. However, inflow of funds (the pattering of feet I mentioned before) and launch of Mothers market can propell SFTBF to Y80k
4. US I-net shares showing information fatigue (and I guess it will take more and more info and money to move a share) and weakening expected after holiday season
5. The implicit market evaluation of SFTBF new ventures is at Yen 6 trillion (ML notes that it is a lot of money), 50% larger than capitalization of entire 43 companies Precision Engineering sector (incl. Hoya, Nikon and Olympus) or the sum of Kyocera, Fanuc and Tokyo Electron (all world class companies)
6. ML called for December peak with profit taking in January/February
7. But 9984 should still be a core holding.
One interesting number I did not note before is that the SFTBF free float is only 30%.

I basically agree with ML this time and have just (broker confirmation of my 20% sell down, equivalent to taking out twice the money I originally committed last November) sold some, and will continue to take some off the table. I have done more (50%+) in all of my other holdings (incl. Yahoo, ICGE) and remaining in cash of proceeds' currency.

I may have made yet another mistake, but only on the side of caution.
