SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Bioponic International (OTC Bulletin Board: BPON - news), with its high tech, state-of-the-art, MR3 metals extraction technology capable of converting hazardous liabilities into non-hazardous, profitable assets, is a development-stage company which plans to engage in the large-scale processing of industrial wastes and other complex metals sources into pure metals and specialty chemical products. The MR3 technology combines high-affinity metal capture, metal refining, waste decontamination, and water purification into a single, integrated system. The process is capable of extracting at least 24 different individual metals and separating them into high purity fractions using a cost-effective, low-temperature, passive process in an automated, modular treatment plant. The Company believes this to be the only technology available that can selectively remove and purify all targeted metals from aqueous solutions on a commercial scale.

Since May, 1999, the Company has been in limited production of a liquid form of zinc sulfate from the processing of zinc wastes at its Butte, Montana, plant for sale to a national chemical corporation under an open purchase order. Bioponic is currently focusing on and evaluating new large-scale commercial project opportunities for the treatment of three specific toxic waste materials: electric arc furnace dust; circuit board manufacturing effluent; and mercury-laden sludges.

Bioponic International is in the process of completing its Form 10 and the related financial audits, and will file with the SEC as soon as reasonably possible to become a fully-reporting company. The Company believes that all of its current market makers will continue to make a market in the Company's stock during this interim period. Trading in the Company's stock will continue as usual with real-time stock quotes available to shareholders and investors from the National Quotation Bureau's (NQB) new Electronic Quotation Service (EQS) through securities brokerage firms and on select Internet sites. Upon SEC approval, the Company's shares will return for trading on the OTC Bulletin Board.

This press release contains forward-looking statements that should not be used to make an investment decision. For further information, please refer to the Company's Web site at www.bioponic.com.
