It will be interesting to see the analysts' reaction to T's message. Coincidentally, one of my broker's - from SSB - called me today to say their telecomm analyst (who he claimed is one of the top one's in the game - but I did not ask for a name)just changed his rating on T from a long-time neutral to a strong buy. Of course, he was recommending I buy the stock. I told my broker I was unconvinced of T's cable strategy given the capital it will require. He then talked about how T's wireless is a jewel, etc. etc. I did not have the time or interest to engage him about CDMA vs. TDMA, data vs. voice, capacity issues and the cost to upgrade, etc. etc. Told him I would get back to him. Monday's analyst meeting is perfect timing.
