I haven't been following Intel's conference calls and you've provided important details. The press releases aren't as informative as I'd like.

I think Intel was right to try to curb irrational exuberence and I don't think it would've been appropriate to comment on AMD's sales potential before they even produce significant volumes of K6 chips.

The SEC cartidge should make it fairly straightforward to design new motherboards, so I wouldn't expect the MB business to crank up the way it did in the 1995 DRAM shortage. Mobile modules, however, should be a hit that drives down margins.
