Noam mentioned today a new startup "in process of being formed in Israel". It is called All Optical (which will get confusing because soon we will have OA (Optical Access) and AO).
That was all he said, but the organization chart slide now includes a box called All Optical along with CW, HC, and Zuma, so it is well beyond the "concept" stage.
Later, in the Q&A I asked a direct question about it and what the product(s) would be, but Noam would not say much more, only that is has something to do with Dr. Baruch Fischer, who has written over 130 papers on optics, and will be "pure optical" in nature.
Regis, on those 130+ technical papers, we just need to find them, understand them, divine market opportunities from within them, and guess at what they are doing - should be a piece of cake right? <ggg>
At any rate, the MRVC CMGI "incubator" of startups is not through. We probably won't hear another word for 6 months to a year, but I'm sure something with excellent prospects will come out of this. |
