My job is not to say how this job should have been done,
my job is to DEMAND the rule of law.

Yep... and the rule of law was willfully broken by a bunch of thugs vandalizing downtown Seattle.

What kinds of "demands" have you made about halting that activity and preserving life and property?

I decry the use of violent protest but don't you forget that these are citizens; in many cases citizens who have been alienated by the very government that was original designed and intended to serve them. For some reason they don't believe. I wonder why.

Yeah... my heart is bleeding for them...

And my heart bleeds for every Serial Killer who hunts down innocent victims and butcher them.

You're right... we should just give them a hug and let 'em know that we understand.

Btw, should we hug them before or after they have beaten the cops head in with a baseball bat?

Like I stated in another post... I'm sick of people feeling sorry for these guys. They knew exactly what they were doing. They were looking for a fight and they got one.

Respect is a two-way street.

Btw, the government knows best... because it is run by duly elected officials who are answerable to their respective voting constituency.

People get the manner of government that they vote for.

So in the end, the blame rests upon the people themselves, not the government.
