NTPL and ACOM have similar top lines. Goldman's orignial pricing of ACOM was $12 and that was revised to $22+. The final pricing should happen on tuesday. ACOM is considerably oversubscribed. Some think that ACOM might trade as high as $100. That seems a bit far fetched but $50 certinly seems doable. What does that mean for NTPL?
If you cut the value in half a $50 trading value for ACOM would put NTPL at $25. Some would want 1 to 1 equity, but that seems impossible, as NTPL just won't get the attention. The attention issue is that Hoover's does not list NTPL as a direct competitor. That could turn out to be good news for existing shareholders. When the media figures out that NTPL is a direct competitor with a comparable top line things could heat up. Based on the above I have to think that NTPL should end up somewhere in the teens at some point next week. What we don't know is what kind of teen, a higher or lower number. Regardless that means quite a run for NTPL under any circumstance.
