Yes, but the fundamentals didn't support their valuation for the most part when the Naz was 1000 points lower. Shorting purely on valuation in the face of a market runup is dangerous; you could be underwater for months until the next market pullback. Don't underestimate the huge amount of money sitting on the sidelines waiting for Y2K to pass so they can get back in the market. January could turn out to be a barnburner. The uncertainty is so high that I would not start a lot of new shorts yet. JMHO.
