Mark...

My point exactly. The demonstration/protest was rendered useless by a bunch of thugs who, for some reason, others on this thread seem to want to defend, or at feel sympathy for.

I don't care if people protest so long as it is a legal assembly with a standard permit (which is relatively easy to obtain for anyone).

But you know... they arrested some 500 people, so I suspect the numbers may wrong as to the actual size of the violent group.

Btw, I would have made the call on those vandals (unless you solely knew of their activities from the TV). I am not shy about getting the police to do their jobs when people are acting suspiciously or vandalizing property.

I'll even photograph them so that police have the means of identifying the participants after the fact.

I think we're both in agreement. A small group of thugs were permitted to disrupt what was supposed to be peaceful demonstration.

Btw, maybe those cops were otherwise occupied watching the 30,000 some odd demonstrators, and didn't have anyone left to send against the group you describe, even if it was 4 blocks away.

Not excusing them... but only Rose would actually believe that the cops permitted a bunch of violent thugs incite a riot. Hell, she probably thinks the Trilaterals sent them personally.

Regards,

Ron
