David, you left out perhaps the most important statement from that report: " all 38 gateways now on order will be installed by mid-2000"

But the "G* USA" coverage maps imply that at least eight GWs (two in Africa, three in India, three in SE Asia) will not be available until "2001."

The same map says "Year-end 2000" coverage (NOT "mid-2000") for much of S. America, Turkey, the middle East and much of Russia. This map and the "41 countries" list on G* home site don't do much for G*' credibility, it pains me to admit.
