Where do you come across these wonderful quotes? I find nice quotes but they are NEVER usable. Or at least I never seem to be able to remember them when they would be useful.

But that was a very apropos and fascinating quote.

I have a good quote- it is NOT apropos of anything- and I can't remember who said it. Wait- I bet I can look it up on the net- back in a sec- nope I couldn't find it

Anyway, picture a kind gentle literary man, dying, and being visited by his daughter bringing him flowers and fruit- he said:

"Too late for fruit, too early for flowers."

I wish I could remember who said that. I could look it up if I could find the book. But I can't remember where I put it. I was dragging it around reading it- as I do with so many books, and somehow I misplaced it. I am sure it is here somewhere- unless it got offended that I misplaced it and wandered off by itself in search of a more diligent reader.
