Current issue of The Economist carries an article on Vertical Transistors developed by the boys at Bell Labs. Alas, it is not yet available for free on the Economist web site.

Perhaps now that we are free of the chains of Ruder Finn, Tyler Lowery can be coaxed into writing a precis on the comparison between OUM, Spintronics, etc.

Or maybe Ray and Retiarius would like to have a go?
