Jim- Q buying GSM technology for roam capable asics is a no brainer. Several of the Q execs have said so. The big moves in Q will be due to:

1) handset deal and with whom
2) China cdma deployment
3) who does Q buy, or team with, for GSM chip technology. The sooner Q makes tri-mode chips the better.
4) HDR deployment
5) cdma carriers emerging in Europe with roaming agreements

IDC is a no never mind that may get a small piece of the pie, or whatever they can snivel out of the players. IDC ain't a player.
