DZ, I ran into a press release of Quigley, and it reads, amongst other things: "''COLD-EEZE® is the only product in its category on the world market that is clinically proven to reduce the duration and severity of common cold symptoms,'' Quigley said. ''No other product can make that claim.'' Quigley also disputed other information contained in the stories. He said: -- COLD-EEZE® is not a dietary supplement. It is a homeopathic drug under the Food and Drug Administration Act of 1938. -- A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association last year did not test the effectiveness of COLD-EEZE® lozenges in children as the wire service stories would lead you to believe. Rather, it tested a reduced dosage of Zinc. biz.yahoo.com So, does that mean Zicam does not work? If this is not the case (ie. Zicam indeed worked), why does GUMM not dispute that Quigley press release???
